Komet Throwdown Added to RA Event
MWSS officials are proud to announce that the 2nd Annual Komet Throwdown, presented by Komet/Haddock Ltd., will be held in conjunction with our Road America event on July 3rd. The Komet Throwdown is a challenge put out originally by Franklin Motorsports', Jamie Sieracki, to all Sr. Komet racers to bring your A game for bragging rights and the coveted "Sword". Last year saw 17 drivers accept the challenge at the event held at Badger Kart Club. This year the event is being moved to the Briggs Motorplex at Road America and will take place after completion of the regularly scheduled Saturday MWSS classes. This is not a points race, however WKA rules do apply. The Throwdown is open to all drivers, aged 15 and up. It is based on the Komet Sr. rules at #350. With a cash purse now being offered by Komet, Franklin Motorsports, and KartLift, the event is sure to draw even more top notch drivers. Unconfirmed entries for this event so far include: Wes Boswell, Jamie Sieracki, Kevin Nelson, TJ Koyen, Tommy Andersen, Tony Jump, Chuck Tate, Cale Wyse, Matt Stagl, Nick Stagl, Scott Kopp, Patrick Olsen, Brian McEvoy, Mark Vielgut, TJ Nevels, Shawn Sharkey, Jason Foley, Shinya Michimi, Andrew Hobbs, and Colton Ramsey, just to name a few. As the entries arrive, we will post an entry list.
Please check out the flyer and pre-entry blank below. Pre-entries received by June 26th will qualify for a drawing for a set of Bridgestone tires!
